Disclaimer & Refund Policy
At American Barn & Wood, we’re proud to offer authentic reclaimed barnwood with all the charm, character, and history that make these materials unique. To help you get the most from your purchase, please review the following important information:
Natural Variation
Reclaimed wood may include color differences, cracks, tapering, wane, nail or mortise holes, insect holes, staining, or livestock chewing. Dimensions may vary and may not match modern lumber sizes. Samples represent general style only. Decorative reclaimed wood is not structurally graded.
Embedded Materials
Hidden nails, metal, or other objects may remain in the wood. These have the potential to damage cutting tools. Use proper safety gear when cutting or milling.
Painted Wood
Some boards may contain old paint. Paint used before 1978 may include lead. Because the history of each piece is unknown, paint composition cannot be guaranteed. Use caution around children and when sanding or cutting painted material.
Insects, Mold & Fungi
Reclaimed wood may have been exposed to insects, mold, or fungi over many decades. American Barn & Wood provides no warranty against their presence or future development. Treatments such as Bora-Care® or Tim-bor® may help reduce risk.
Cleaning
Boards may carry dust or debris from their time in historic barns. You may wish to clean the lumber before installation or finishing.
Wood Species
Species identification is our best estimate only and is not guaranteed.
Sold As-Is + All Sales Final
